More STL trip, beer and jam

On Sunday, we headed over to the excellent Schlafly's bottle works for some refreshments after brunch. Here's Ben and Dave enjoying some libations.
We met up with Joe at Schlafly's and then headed to his house to jam on his guitars and drum kit. Here's Dave on the drums.
Joe strummer on his Les Paul, I'm in the background just listening.
Here's my best impression of Ringo Starr. Good thing you can't hear this photo, because I really can not play the drums.

Baseball in STL - interleague

After spending time for work in San Jose, I headed to St. Louis for some interleague baseball between the awesome Minnesota Twins and the losers of the 1987 world series, the Cardinals. We had tickets to Friday night and Saturday's Day game.

We had great seats behind home plate, thanks to my dad's work. Here's your AL MVP taking a swing during the game, St. Joe Mauer.

After the game, with the Twins the victors, we took a group photo, from L-R, Ben, my dad, me, and Dave.

The next day, a 12:00 start, and temps in the upper 90's. Tough day to watch baseball. However, we had Dave's uncle's seats, located 2 rows off the field, right by the visitor's dugout. Here's Brendan Harris signing autographs for the fans. No zoom lens required here, he was so close.

And here's the view into the Twins' dugout from our seats. There's Gardy getting ready for the game. The Twins lost this day. It was probably too hot, the temperature was 100 at the end of the game. It was a fun weekend, thanks to Dave and dad for the tickets!

More San Jose, More Baseball

Randy Johnson on the mound again. I keep on seeing him! This time on the other side of the bay, at Oakland. He ended up with the win, #301 or #302, I'm not exactly sure.

I was in town for a training session for some of our European service engineers. Here they are enjoying baseball, from R-L, England, Italy, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, and Germany.
